gutter cleaning

*Fun fact: Gutters are also called eavestroughs.

The most common answer is twice a year, in late spring and early fall. But every home is different, so here are some variables to consider;

  • How many trees surround your home?
  • what type of trees are they? Pine and oak trees shed rapidly and can easily clog your gutters.
  • How close to your home are they?

If you don't have any trees around your home, you're probably safe cleaning your gutters once a year, in the late fall. But if you have a combination of the above variables you may want to consider cleaning your gutters every season or 3-4 times a year.

Tons of repercussions can come from gutter neglect. None of which are good. The primary purpose of gutters is to direct water flow from your roof to the ground via a downspout efficiently. When this route is blocked:

  • The backed up water flows over the ledge and onto the ground damaging vegetation- foundations, and also hits you in the face when you least expect it.
  • The wood under your roof also gets damaged as it soaks up the water, swells and starts to rot.
  • Insects tend to migrate toward the moist environment causing more damage to your home.
  • Mold, mildew, and moss thrive in damp environments like under your shingles.
  • Roof leaks can also occur due to the excess water and pour into your home causing yet another headache.

Yes we are! Any time you have a service professional at your house make sure they are insured, otherwise, you the homeowner, are on the hook for any accidents or liabilities.

We are insured up to 2 stories!

We do all work from ladders or on the ground. We never climb on your roof. The less traffic you have on your roof, the less potential you have for damage and leaks.

We use poles that stretch up to 30 feet to help us reach hard spots.

We remove all debris by hand ( no blowers will be used) so you don't have to worry about a dirty lawn house or damaged roof. Blowers can force dirt, leaves and debris into the spaces between your sub roof and shingles which will get trapped and hold in moisture that will encourage mold growth and rot.

Any and all debris removed from your gutters will be hauled off site.

We are available on saturdays for your convenience. Feel free to call and schedule an appointment, or if you just want to talk about the weather.
